NICOLE LIU
FOUNDER + OWNER
A native of Boston, Nicole was born into a family of restaurateurs. Naturally, her passion for food and travel led her towards a career in hospitality. Nicole’s experience in the industry range from New York City’s Plaza Hotel to The Langham Hotel in Chicago. She is seasoned in event management, fine dining operations and a certified sommelier (Court of Master Sommeliers).
Upon a solo trip to Copenhagen in 2014, Nicole stumbled into “Vesterbro”, a meatpacking district that was revived by local restaurants and cafes. Inspired by the city aesthetic, culture of hospitality and complex simplicity of Nordic cuisine, the concept of Vester was born.
Nicole opened Vester’s first location (Cambridge) in 2018, followed by South Boston in 2022.
Vester is Nicole’s first venture.
CAYLA
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Born and raised in Green Bay Wisconsin, Cayla began working in food and beverage starting from the age of 12. She joined Vester in 2019.
In her tenure at Vester, Cayla has led the operations of both Vester locations, manages brand partnerships and awareness.
Jessica
Manager
One of the original members of the opening team, Jessica joined VESTER in 2018 and oversees operations at VESTER Cambridge. She has grown from barista to Assistant General Manager, overseeing all facets of service to catering.
